Nara for All: Branding Photography

I recently realized how much I love being creative and how much I miss doing projects that helped me explore my creativity. It’s been something that I didn’t know was important to me. Since we sold our business, I really lost a part of me. I lost the part liked to make things from scratch. The part of me that enjoyed working with people and creating WITH them on collaborative opportunities. It’s been interesting figuring out ways to embrace opportunities, or really even CREATE opportunities for myself to expand that creativity. So, how could I do that, while still being a stay at home mom, and still giving myself the time and energy to work on my trauma healing… it was hard to find an answer to that, but I was determined to figure it out.

I reached out to a couple of friends who do branding photography for brands, and they loved being able to create on their OWN time, in their OWN way and I really liked the sound of that. So I decided to start reaching out to companies and brands and figured, what the heck? What is the worst that could happen? They say no or don’t even answer.

But thankfully, I have had a couple of companies respond and they were SO GRACIOUS and ENCOURAGING! It lit a fire in me and I have to admit, I was excited for the first time in a really long time.

The first company who got back to me was this incredible new skincare line, Nara for All. The mission at Nara for All is to normalize plus size bodies in the beauty industry. They intend to change the beauty industry standard so all figures, in whatever shape, size, color, they come in, can be celebrated. As I’ve been on a personal journey of finding myself and learning to love my body, this was a mission I could most definitely get behind. So, I reached out and offered photography services. Through the process of this first message, I met Mindy – one of the founders of Nara for All. Mindy is an advocate for body positivity, inclusion, and representation. Again, truly so happily surprised by the amazing community I’ve started discovering here on@instagram. I’m excited to share more photography work and MOST excited to be using a skincare line that is clean, non toxic, made in small batches and sustainable. Check them out and give them a follow if you are into taking care of your skin and supporting small business focusing on inclusivity!

Here are some of the photographs that I was able to capture for this brand. I have loved making connections through this work and excited to see what other creative projects I can get my hands on. I’ll be updating my portfolio here more frequently as I complete additional projects.

Thanks so much for following along. I appreciate you all!
