An Afternoon Exploring the Salt River

Before it got too hot outside (or before it GETS too hot outside), we are trying to enjoy some time exploring our state. One of our favorite things that became a regular tradition was packing up snacks and heading to the Salt River. It was a short 35 minute drive from our home, so although it felt other worldly in ways, it was really in the comfort of our own backyard in ways.

I guess my favorite hobby these days is tromping around the river rocks and catching the sunset. So serene and peaceful and every once in a while, I make eye contact with one of the famous salt river wild horses and life feels good. 🌾🐴
